Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

AdsSnap is a service operated by Enygma Digital ("Enygma Digital", "we", "us", or "our"). We provide an ad-preview tool that generates screenshots of ad creatives placed on real websites across desktop, tablet, and mobile viewports.

2. Information We Collect

• Ad creatives you uploadImage files, HTML5 ZIP archives, VAST/VMAP XML, MRAID bundles, or third-party ad tag code submitted through the tool. These are stored temporarily on Cloudinary and deleted automatically within 7 days.
• Target URLThe webpage URL you provide for context screenshots. We store only the domain (e.g. example.com), not the full URL, in our analytics database.
• Job metadataFormat type, device selection, job status (done / failed / blocked), screenshot count, and processing duration. Used internally to monitor service health.
• Usage dataStandard server logs including IP address, browser user-agent, request timestamps, and HTTP response codes. Logs are retained for up to 30 days.
• CookiesWe do not set first-party tracking cookies. If Google AdSense ads are displayed on the page, Google may set its own cookies subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

3. Screenshot Storage & Deletion

All uploaded creatives, generated screenshots, and ZIP download files are stored on Cloudinary and are automatically deleted within 7 days of job creation. You can also trigger immediate deletion by navigating away from your results page, which sends a cleanup request to our API.

We do not keep permanent copies of your ad creatives or the screenshots we generate.

4. IP Address & Proxy Network

By using AdsSnap and agreeing to our Terms of Service, you consent to your IP address being temporarily used as part of a residential proxy network that helps AdsSnap capture screenshots from websites that block datacenter servers. This is a standard practice used to simulate real-user browsing conditions.

What this means in practice: When anotherAdsSnap job needs to screenshot a site that blocks datacenter IPs, a request may be briefly routed through your IP address. No personal data, browsing history, or credentials are accessed or transmitted. Only a single HTTP page request is made.

Opt-out: You can opt out at any time by clicking “Opt out & delete my data” in the AdsSnap Capture browser extension. Your IP record is immediately and permanently deleted — we do not retain any soft-deleted records.

We do not sell or share your IP address or any proxy participation data with third parties.

5. Advertising (Google AdSense)

AdsSnap displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

The presence of advertisements does not affect how we handle your uploaded creatives or personal data.

6. How We Use Your Information

• To generate and deliver ad preview screenshots
• To monitor service performance and diagnose errors
• To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse
• To compile anonymized analytics (job counts by format, success rates, top domains) for internal reporting — never sold or shared
• To route residential proxy requests (if you are participating in the proxy network)

We do not use your data for marketing profiling, sell it to data brokers, or share it with any third party except as required by law.

• Rectification — correct inaccurate data
• Erasure — request deletion of your data
• Restriction — limit how we process your data
• Portability — receive your data in a structured format
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest
• Opt-out of proxy participation — via the AdsSnap Capture extension at any time

To exercise any right, email enygma.ca@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. Residents of the EU/EEA may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Data Security

We use HTTPS/TLS for all data in transit, server-side environment variables for credentials, and HTTP security headers (HSTS, X-Frame-Options, content-type nosniff) on all API responses. Cloudinary assets are stored with access controlled by signed URLs and auto-expiry policies.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but take reasonable technical measures to protect your data.

11. Children's Privacy

AdsSnap is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of AdsSnap after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
